Recycled Glass Collection
What started as an experiment has become a signature.
In 2023, Mike Esordi began working with crushed glass sourced from Glass Half Full, a local recycling initiative he connected with during a neighborhood meeting where both were guest speakers. After seeing their glass samples, Mike knew immediately he could use this material in new ways. That spark led to the creation of SparkleCast, which gave Krampus’ iconic lumps of coal a bold, glittering edge.
At the same time, he developed two new mediums for Krewe members and artists to use at home. Gl’ule, named for the Y’ules troupe, is a pourable, moldable mix made with crushed glass and natural ingredients. Krampus Clay followed as a sculptable option with the same sustainable spirit. These materials were designed for hands-on creativity and small-batch throws with real substance.

In 2024, the experiments expanded. Mike perfected a way to cast solid glass doubloons, reimagining the Mardi Gras classic with a new visual language inspired by sustainable ideals. This was a clear step into a future where parade culture honors its past while building something better.
Today, that early partnership with Glass Half Full continues to power the Recycled Glass Collection. Each piece is made with intention and carries the spirit of craft, community, and care for the culture we’re building.
