Throws with Stories
Every throw has a beginning. The best ones also have a future.
We believe throws should be made differently.
Most parade throws start with bulk orders of plastic shipped from overseas, packaged and repackaged, then handed off to riders. On parade day, the packaging is ripped away and beads are tossed from floats by the handful. For a second, there’s excitement. But it passes quickly. What remains is packaging, broken beads, and piles of waste in the streets.
Each piece from Art of the Parade is made with care. Many are crafted by local artists or in collaboration with community partners. The materials are chosen with intention. The design is thoughtful. The result is something worth holding onto.
The moment of exchange matters too. These throws look and feel different. People notice. They reach out, not for the volume of plastic, but for the texture, the detail, the meaning.

After the parade, the story continues.
Each piece is linked to the people and process behind it. A code leads to the maker. The materials are named. The inspiration is shared. In the case of Crescent Dreams, the person who catches the throw also becomes its keeper. Inside is a dream written by someone else. Now they share the responsibility to carry it forward.
A throw can be art. It can carry memory. It can be a part of something bigger.
